There are seasons when you know something needs to change, but you can’t quite put your finger on what.
You feel stretched thin, tired, disconnected, or off in a way that is hard to explain. Maybe your health has your attention because your body is asking louder questions. Maybe work is draining you. Maybe you are doing fine on paper, but something still does not feel right. Maybe you have spent so much time taking care of everyone else that you have lost track of what you want.
When life starts feeling like this, most women go straight toward the loudest problem. Lose the weight. Fix the sleep. Get more organized. Make more money. Find more motivation. Get back on track. But the loudest problem is not always the best place to start.
Sometimes your health feels like the problem, but the deeper strain is coming from work. Sometimes your mood feels off, but you have had almost no meaningful connection or time to yourself in months. Sometimes you keep trying to fix your energy while living inside a schedule that drains you faster than you recover.
That is why I like tools that help us pull back and look at the whole picture.
The Vital Life Wheel does exactly that. It asks you to look at eight areas of your life: health, relationships, career or work, finances, purpose and passion, mind and mood, self and growth, and friends and community. You rate each area from 1 to 10, shade the wheel, and then step back and look at the shape you created.
The point is not to make every section a 10. The point is to see what is supporting you, what is draining you, and where one thoughtful change might create movement across several parts of your life.
This is not a one-and-done exercise either. The real value comes from returning to the wheel over time. What feels like a 4 today might look completely different three months from now. Another area might improve because of a change you made somewhere else. Or you might notice a pattern in an area that keeps slipping and needs more attention.
That is why I named this resource The Vital Life Wheel. It gives you a way to step outside the day-to-day noise and see your life as a whole. One snapshot tells you where you are today. Repeating it over time helps you see where you are growing, where you feel stuck, and which patterns keep showing up.
Sometimes one honest look at the wheel changes what you thought the problem was. And when the problem changes, the next step often becomes much clearer.
